
Ruth Cosgrave
Lecturer, Accountant, Business Consultant & Mentor, MTU
Ruth is a finance professional with multidisciplinary competencies, based on over 25 years experience working in a diverse range of organsiations and cultures, in roles ranging from agricultural economist in the public sector, to corporate banker, both management and financial accountant in the financial services sector, FMCG sector and co-operative organisations. Ruth’s experience crosses industries and captures the different requirements, priorities and challenges faced by both domestic and multinational organsiations.
She now applies this knowledge and experience through her private accountancy and consulting practice, Via Lutea Ltd. Since starting in practice she has provided mentoring for almost 250 businesses, both start-ups and more mature companies. Mentoring topics ranged from basic company set up requirements through to accessing large scale finance for infrastructural projects with everything in between.
More recently she has been lecturing on Finance, Management, and Financial Services Regulation for MTU on their undergraduate Business programes and the Masters in FinTech, as well as being actively involved with them in the development of new Springboard and Masters programs.
