Chief Operating Officer, Paysend Europe

Colin Canny is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Paysend Europe, where he oversees all operations for the company’s European entity based in Ireland. As COO, Colin is responsible for driving Paysend’s mission to deliver innovative payment solutions across the EEA while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity for its customers.

Colin holds the PCF 42 designation and manages key areas including outsourcing, commercial strategy, operational resilience, regulatory licensing, and cross-border operations. With extensive experience in fintech, embedded finance, and global payments, he has played a key role in shaping go-to-market strategies, designing new products, and leading institutional fundraising initiatives.

Throughout his career, Colin has collaborated with senior management teams to foster growth, operational excellence, and strategic partnerships. He has worked with leading fintech firms such as Alviere, Visa, Flender, and the Bluestone Group, making a lasting impact across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Colin holds a BSc in Information Technology, an APA in Consumer Credit, and recently completed the Consumer Protection Risk, Culture, and Ethical Behaviour programme with IOB.
